1-2-3

Last night at his grandma's, Sebby was able to count 1 to 10 in Vietnamese while reading the number book. lol. We can't get him to do it again though!

As for Cantonese, he most often says 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8 in Cantonese. Much work to do there!

Three new discoveries

It has been a real challenge to feed Sebby. He's such a picky eater. Anything we put into his month that he is not familiar with, he would take it out, take a look, and either put it back into his mouth or toss it out. And while I thought every kid loves cheerios, oh boy, was I wrong. I can count the amount of cheerios he has eaten with two hands.

Over the past weekend, we had three new discoveries. He likes scrambled eggs! When he sees scrambled eggs, he would say "cheese", and eats it! When he's bored with baby yogurt, that could be the substitute.

At Costco yesterday, he chucked down a quarter of a grilled cheese sandwich! That's butter, cheese, and a half piece of bread. He finished it all by himself without us forcing or tricking him to eat. That's a very good alternative for lunch.

Going back to cheerios, our friend Wendy gave us some dried fruit chips to try. It dissolves in the mouth. It should be a good snack for Sebby. When we gave it to him yesterday, of course he wouldn't put it in his mouth. I shoved a small piece into his mouth, but he took it out to "examine" and tossed it away. It was quite frustrating. I then put a small piece of it with his spoon of baby yogurt, and fed him with it. He again took out the chip out of his mouth. It was totally expected, but what I didn't expect was that he put it back into his mouth and ate it! For the whole day yesterday, he had no problem eating those chips! I'll try it today to see if this continues. It should be a good snack for him for the trip next month. Yay! We finally found a snack he likes!

As a matter of fact, let me give him a piece of the apple chip to him right now. Stay tuned.
