How Do You Feed an Infant Multivitamin Drops?

We needed to give Sebby 1ml of multivitamin drops every day. We have tried two methods:

1. Yesterday, while he was in bed, lying on his right nursing, we tried to drip a drop on the areola whenever he had some sucking action.

He seemed to suck the drops well. At the end, we found a big wet spot was on the bed sheet! Looking at his right face, there was a big stain all over his face. Needless to say, most if not all of multivitamin was running through his lips, then his face, and ended up on the bed sheet.

FAILED!

2. Today, we tried to take a different approach. When he was crying for milk, we first fed him the drops. I was afraid that he would spit it all out. Just needed to take that time to drip a drop at a time. Surprisingly, he didn't spit it out and took it well. The challenge was to get his mouth open.
