Gerber Nipples

We got a pack of 6 of the Gerber medium flow nipples on Sunday, and we've been using them fine until two nights ago.

We prepared 5 oz of formula, attached the new Gerber nipple to the ring, and twisted it on the bottle. Assembled! Done! Gave it to Sebastian who was crying for his meal. He was sucking hard for 5 minutes. The milk seemed to go down really slowly. I took the bottle out of his mouth to see if there was anything that got stuck in the nipple. Sebastian started to cry hysterically. In the mean time, I took a look at how many oz of milk Sebastian had taken. NADA! NONE! ZIPPO! ZILCH! There was still 5 oz of formula in the bottle. What gives? I then checked the nipple. HOLY CRAP! There was the answer -- it had no holes!

Yesterday, I complained to Gerber. Today, I got a response from them:

Do they really think I would use the coupons to buy their products again? HELL NO! Wait a minute. On a 2nd thought, maybe I will. Perhaps this defective nipple will get us another pack of 6?
