I Am a Big Kid Now

Sebastian has finally gained his weight back to his birth weight and some.

At Birth: 6 lbs 15 oz, 19 inches
Week 1: 5 lbs 15 oz, 21 inches
Week 2: 6 lbs 4 oz, 21.5 inches
Week 3: 7 lbs, 21 inches. (He shrunk? Neh, the nurse's measurement probably wasn't accurate in week 2).

Anyways, an update for his right eye's tear production problem: The tear duct is blocked between the eye and the nose. It is common among newborns. The doc gave us a not-that-helpful suggestion.

Doc: If his eye is red, give it a drop or two of breast milk. If the condition worsens, call the office.

Me thinking: [Wait a minute, according to the bible, you are supposed to show me how to massage the area between the eye and the nose to unblock it!]

Me: I read it on the internet that we can massage the area to make it better.

Doc: Yes, but I wouldn't recommend it. Some moms go crazy on massaging.

Me thinking: [Dude, do I look like somebody who would go crazy on pressing hard on and poking the kid? At least you could tell us our options!]
The doc is very knowledgeable and I feel that Sebastian is in good hands , but I think he's a bit arrogant and old school. After all, he is an old man.
