Earthquake!
The strongest and the longest earthquake hit the Bay Area last night since the 1989 Loma Prieta quake. It happened on the Calaveras Fault, hit at 8:04 p.m., lasted about 30 seconds, and measured 5.6 on the magnitude scale. What was Sebastian doing at that time? He was sleeping like a piglet in my arms.
I thought it was one of those quakes that would go away in 5 seconds or so. Little did I know, it lasted for about 30 seconds. In retrospect, I should have carried him to near the door frame. Well, at least he's gone through his first major earthquake without even knowing it.
